Incorrect prices on 1.3.7

When I add my products say I put an item as £299 the price comes out as £158.70 ???? I thought it may have been something to do with the group pricing section set out as below - so I deleted both the groups but still getting the incorrect prices when I upload a product ... ( the thing is if it were related to the group pricing the incorrect price isn't even 50% ! )

My version is 1.3.7 - I added a wholesale group with a 50% discount and a retail group with no 0% discount.

Again mentioned before deleted both groups and still having the problem

In Admin->Localization->Currencies, what is your "default" currency?
What is your Exchange rate set to for GBP?

If GBP is your default, then you need to set the rate to 1.0000 or else it will be auto-converting it based on the difference between your default and the rate specified.

Hello,

I have version 1.3.7 installed.

Yesterday I was having problems with the price coming out lower than the net price I had entered. I read on the forum that this would solve it:

--> Admin > Configuration > My Store
set 'Switch To Default Language Currency' to 'true'

It fixed the problem, but then I found that on the admin end it was still displaying with the same lower value so I did some more reading on the forum and it was suggested to change the following:

--> Admin > Localisation > Currencies

Make sure default currency set to Euro (was already) and set to 1.000000 (which I did).

Now, on the admin end it displays correctly however on the front end it displays with $US. It's not just the symbol issue. It's actually using $US equivalent value as It's converting it with respects to the currency exchange value entered in the USD field in --> Admin > Localisation > Currencies

Anybody know why this is happening?

I've tried clearing my cache and restarting my browser too but no help :-(

... Also, Ive noticed that if I change language to spanish it will change to Euros however when I switch back to english it goes back to USD.

If I try setting the default currency to British Pounds it changes in the admin but doesn't change anything on the front, they still come out in USD for english and Euro for spanish ... gulp, please help me :-S

in the language files I had to change the following:

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'EUR');

If it's only one language then you need to search through all your files and look for english.php (sometimes there is more than one). The setting is in there. In my case I had two languages running so I had to make the changes in any english.php files and spanish.php files that I had.

Also, I think it might be best to use the override system to do this (make copies of these files in your templates folder), not on the original files. Just to follow protocol I guess.
