Default Define Pages Editor not opening editor

When I select any page in the dropdown (doesn't matter which one), nothing happens, the editor doesn't open. Same if I select text or HTML, nothing happens. It seems that the function that tells it to do something when selected is on vacation :) Where do I begin to find the cause?

Any warning messages such as the files and subdirectories in:
    /includes/languages/english/html_includes

All need to be set to 777 to edit them?

My html_includes is 755, MYTEMPLATE is 755, and all the files beneath it is 644. However, those are the same settings as my test install which works just fine.

You cannot write to files that are set to 644 in the Admin ... they need to be 777

After you are done you can change them for security purposes ...

I can't believe it... It was my browser. It crashed earlier and now I discovered that anything that involves scripts doesn't work. I'm sorry to waste your time Linda

Not a problem ... that actually happens from time to time and just closing all browser sessions clearing cache and cookies often can help on these mystery issues ... thanks for the update!
