Remove products from group discount

Is there someway i can remove certin products from group discounts. I have membership otions that give discount on all the products but i dont want them to give discounts to the memberships themself.

I have been thinking, an ive seen that the gift certficates do not get discounts. Would it be possible to add a special producttype name as GIFTXXXX, somewhere in the codeing so that it bypasses the discount. My only solution right now is to make my memberships of the GIFTXXXX type and remove the giftcertificate from the certificate que.

I wish there was a way aorund this that i could do before i have no choise to implement my idea.

That is managed in the shopping_cart class where it calculates the price and shipping for all products_model that starts with GIFT ...

It would take a bit of thought to build in a similar function to the one used in the ot_group_pricing.php module for $gift_vouchers to do a similar type of calculation and apply it in the same way ...

While it can be complicated ... it can be done ... got your php coder hat on?
