    1. open the file search_header.php that located in \includes\modules\sideboxes

    2. copy the last line: require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_box_header.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'common'). '/tpl_box_header.php');

    3. open the php file of the sidebox that you want to have in header area, and it is also located in \includes\modules\sideboxes

    4. replace the last line: require($template->get_template_dir($column_box_default, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'common') . '/' . $column_box_default);
    with the one you have copied from search_header

    have fun

    Is there a way to do this with the "footer" as well? I would like to put some information at the bottom of the page, rather than at the side...

    I am trying to add the login sidebox that I downloaded to my header. I did this exactly and saved it to my \includes\modules\sideboxes\custom\ folder. This is the error I get when in the place where the sidebox currently sits and there is nothing in the header.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/actforms/public_html/office_supplies/includes/modules/sideboxes/custom/login_box.php on line 50

    I assume just turning off the sidebox in the admin section will solve the error problem, however I am also assuming that something needs to be added to the tpl_header.php file.

    Of course I am confused as heck, so my assumptions really mean nothing at this stage!

    I think you do need to add an entry to tpl_header, that's how I get it to work anyway.

    Great post by Momo! This method gives me more options to customise the header.

    Please share what you added to the tpl_header. I am still unable to get this to work. Thanks!

    I managed to get the currency sidebox in the header, but I don't see the currency options. Anybody know how to fix this?

    You could have also checked the downloads section for:

    Language/Currency Links in Header

    and

    Login Header
