Can I Displaying Products' Image and Description in EZ-Page

I hv been pondering for days and reading the relevant information on EZ-page but I still can't arrive at a satisfactory answer on my own. I hope someone cld advise if I can achieve the followings:

1. Create a new page using the EZ-page feature. Place its link in the Category sidebox (not the Information sidebox). Tie the same link to an image at the homepage (not sure whether hardcoding the URL of the newly created page is the only way.).

2. Displaying a selected number of products' image in the newly created page in the same format as the product listing page, i.e. 3 images per row.

If someone had a better way to achieve the above-mentioned, I wld appreciate it if you cld share that.

In addition to my post above, I wld also like to know if it is possible to set the newly created page to "Admin Only" during development? TIA.

You've described what you want to achieve, but could we step back and ask why?

What you've described looks as though it could be achieved with a lot less work by creating a new category and populating it with mirrors of products already held in other categories. So I assume that there must be something else that you're trying to achieve, or something that you don't want to happen when somebody goes to the EZ-Page.
