Just happened on to this .....saw a user in whos online "success contact us".....never got the email.
On investigation, I found that in conf->email settings->Set contact us emails, we had only set an email address, NOT (as that sections calls out) Name 1<[email protected]>,Name 2otherguy AT somewhere DOT com
So, got the proper syntax in and all is working.
(BTW 1.37 upgraded from 1.36)
So question is, is there any log anywhere i can cruise to find out who and what this customer was wanting?

Download the email archive search from the downloads area. The go to admin->Tools->Email archive search and look through your email. It's all archived.
