    help question Dynamic Read Only Value

    Is it possible to pass php code as an option value? I've tried entering in the following examples, but all it seems to do is to print the code into the html versus parsing it like it should.
    PHP Code:
    $row_pity['foo']

    echo $row_pity['foo'];

    <?php echo $row_pity['foo']; ?>

    ". $row_pity['foo'] ."

    '. $row_pity['foo'] .'
    Do you have any suggestions?

    What are you attempting to do exactly?

    I'm trying to pass a value from a non-cart table as an option value so it is inserted into a cart table and shown in the checkout area, etc.

    Going to bump this...

    Anyone on if this is possible or is the way the options are printed out make it not so?

    I guess I should be clear on what it is doing...

    It's printing the php like it was html instead of processing it. It does this even with the code blocks on (only then it's more like a comment). Would appreciate any solution to this. Thanks.

    Still no answer after months, eh?

    This is still an issue for me...

    Let me reiterate what I need this to do:

    I'm building a site that's more or less like the cafepress.com concept (take a photo, edit it, stick it on a product, and then buy it.), and I need the edited photo to appear in the cart attached to the shirt/mug/whatever that the person is purchasing.

    The problem is that the editing process is handled separate from the cart, but I need a way to pass the data (the edited image name) to the cart.

    Hence the question about sticking a PHP variable as an option in the cart. If anyone has a better solution I am perfectly open to it, but this is not just a "meh, I'd like this answered sometime..." deal.
