I'm sure this is a stupid question, but what is the Product URL used for when adding a product?

Go to your Admin directory ...
http://www.your_domain.com/admin
Or if in a subdirectory:
http://www.your_domain.com/your_directory/admin
Login and go to:
Catalog ... Categories/Products ...
Make sure you are in a Category and click New Product ...
Note: might also read the FAQs and your /docs directory files on ways to safe guard your Admin ...

I believe Linda missed the point of your question, the "products url" on the add products page, I believe is used for inputting a url to say a manufactures info page for the product you are selling on your site.

Ok, thanks, I thought that was what it was for, but the client was asking if he could use it for an internal page, but I told him I thought EZ Pages were what he was looking for.
