Log-in error after import of database

I need help please!

I installed a fresh copy of the new 1.3.7 version of Zen Cart. I had backed up my database and saved to my desktop.

Here is what I did:
- I went into phpmyadmin and went to the new database (zencart)
- I went to import and selected the old database (zc1) from my desktop and clicked go

It imported and now shows 186 tables in my new database (zencart)

Problem is when I go to log into the admin for Zen cart now my username/password doesnt work and it wont resend it to my email either. If I do resend and put in my email it errors with: You entered the wrong email address.

I went into the admin table in phpmyadmin and it shows my username and email correctly. The password though shows all sorts of crazy combos of letters and numbers....

I dont know what happened! Any help?

In addition when I go to my website I receive the following error:

1054 Unknown column 'startdate' in 'field list'
in:
[select startdate, counter, session_counter from zen_counter_history where startdate='20070124']

Nevermind...I couldn't figure it out so I am going to just wipe everything clean, re-install Zen Cart, and enter ALL my stuff back in manually without restoring.

I am so frustrated =(
