Is there any way to limit the amount of new products shown on the homepage?

I only want 3. 3 maximum, 3 minimum.

admin > config > maximum values > New Products Module > set to "3"

also, anyone know a way to edit the php so that each special gets placed in an alternate div, instead of a common one?

Are you still refering to the display on the main page or the new product listing available from clicking in the sidebox?

no still referring to the homepage,

id ideally like to have my 3 new products and also my 2 special offers that are displayed in differnt class divs.

having trouble with this one :)

AS these are dynamically assembled and use the tpl_columnar_display.php file to do so. You would have a bit of custom coding to do to change this into individual div's....but look at the tpl_whatsnew file and the subsequent called files and see if you might think that this would be easier than I do.

Yeah I've created a new tpl_columnar_display.php especially for the specials module and I ve been playing around with it.

The best Ive go so far is listing it listing the specials twice, each time in a different class of div.
