    Default Paypal Express and SSL

I'm considering getting a private SSL cert but I think all I really need for payment is paypal express.

Now paypal express has its own SSL right?

However aren't here other advantages to having an SSL cert?
I've also read that SSL will slow you down and should only be on certain pages. Which ones and how?

Just trying to figure out if I need it and how to do it most efficiently.

    Thanks.

Anyone have thoughts on those 19.95 godaddy ssl certs?

SSL is not necessary however people like to see that padlock and get a warm tingly feeling,

Zen Cart is setup to ONLY run ssl on pages where its required.

just need to put in the url and turn it on in the configure.php files

and no comment on the other

I posted some setup instructions on this in your other post on this topic:

Anytime you're collecting customers' personal information, you should have an SSL certificate. It's just plain good sense.

The low-cost certificates are generally as good as the high-priced ones. There are several schools of thought on this. Basically, if you're not collecting Credit Card information directly on your site, you don't need an expensive SSL certificate -- the low-cost ones will do just fine.
If you "are" collecting CC data on your site, you should ask your merchant provider/gateway/bank what level of SSL protection you need in order to be in compliance with their TOS and be protected against litigation from them.
