Maually Choosing Products for New Products page

Is there a way to manually choose what should be shown in the new products page???

I just set up a bunch of products all together, but they are ALL SHOWING in what's new... i would like to select just a few of them instead of all of them.

I know it is setup by the date the item was setup... but i was hoping i could choose what items to display.

You could set the configuration setting for what New Products is defined to be ...

Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

New Product Listing - Limited to ...
Limit the New Product Listing to
0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

I understand how to do that... my only problem is that all the products were setup within a couple of days... so therefore ALL the products are NEW products... i was wondering if there was a way to either change the setup date of an item or if there is a way to choose which items are NEW besides the date they were setup.

You would need to edit the database table products via phpMyAdmin and alter the products_date_added field ...

At this time, that is not something that is customizable via Zen Cart as it is the actual date that the product was added and this is what is used to know when a Product is New or not ...

Globally replace all products_date_added with an older date and then just edit the dates on the products that you want to show as New ...
