Footer Banner Display on Main Only?

My brain is getting mushy from a week of 12 hour+ days picking through all the info as I'm setting up a new install. I know I've seen the answer to this question somewhere during this, but I can't find it again. I just spent 2 hours searching for the answer to this one simple question.

Is there any way to turn off a WideBanner Group Banner, assigned to display as a footer banner, on all the other pages EXCEPT the main page?

If answer is yes, where, please?

If answer is no, please direct me to where I can insert a little piece of HTML table code that will dispay only at the bottom of the index page.

I am using this for a notice about my old store, and I know it's not what banners is meant for, but it seemed to be the simplest solution for the moment, since it will be removed in time. At the moment is also comes up on all the other pages, too, which is not needed.

You could add an IF around the code for the banner using the variable:
$this_is_home_page

That is only true when on your actual Home page based on all of your settings ...
