Migrating data from OS Commerce

Hi everyone,

I have been at this all day. I've got the CSS customized (yay!) but I've been totally unsuccessful in migrating my OSCommerce data. I've done this tutorial a dozen times and can't seem to get it right.

I did download Beyond Compare.

My problems seem to be:

1. When there's a slight discrepancy between the two, which one do I choose? Right now any time there's a discrepancy between two similar lines, I use the OSC one to override the Zen code.

2. What do I do when there's something in the Zen code that is completely non existent in OSC (ie the music products?). I've tried leaving the lines and deleting them and am not having luck either way.

3. My biggest problem seems to be when re-importing the info in to Zen after comparing the two, because OSC tables are called "categories" and "products" etc and Zen tables are called "zen_categories" "zen_products" etc. So, when I import them in to Zen, it creates NEW tables called "categories" "products" etc and ignores the ones with the prefix "zen." So the data is never making it back in to "Zen_categories" etc and I end up with two tables-one with the Zen prefix and one without.

Can anyone walk me through this? I really tried to search the FAQ and the boards before asking but I'm at a dead end! I hope I worded my questions correctly. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
