    bug PayPal IPN and EChecks

    I am running a fresh install of 1.3.7

    I have PayPal IPN installed and it works properly when customer pays by credit card or has a balance in their paypal account.

    If the customer pays by echeck the payment is processed, but when the customer is redirected to the confirmation page their is no order number.

    No copy of the order appears in the admin section

    The customer does not receive an emailed copy of the order

    In the customers My Account section no information on the order exists.

    The items are removed from inventory and are no longer in the customers shopping cart.

    I have installed the patch for PayPal Express found HERE

    and the errors still occur.

    I have searched the forum and found numerous posts from people with the same issue, and none of the suggestions posted have solved the issue.

    Did you also follow the steps to install and remove the PayPal Express ...

    I did.

    I installed it and removed it, but still no change.

    I even made transactions through express to see if that would make a difference. Express was working fine unti a yesterday (I am trying to figure that out in a different thread) so I am back to trying to solve the issues with IPN. I am hoping I can get one of these Paypal Payment modules to work.

    New code? Changes on the Server? Changes on PayPal website?

    The only thing I changed was the text that appears on the Payment Method portion of the checkout, but to be sure that wasn't it I uploaded the original copy.

    I called my hosting site to make sure that nothing had been changed or upgraded on my server and they verified that they had not done anything.

    I have made no changes to my Paypal account and I checke the link to Paypal updates that is provided on the Express Checkout Forum and it
    has no information after the 8th.

    As for IPN, I have never been able to get the echeck funtion to work. I just went back and started with the original patch and then added the new patch to make sure I hadn't missed anything, but I am still having the same issue.

    I even added the original patch, did the step where you set up PayPal Express.

    Then I added the latest patch and did the same.

    Still not working.

    When I check out using PayPal IPN and pay by an echeck this is the screen it takes me to: (notice the lack of order number)
