I see that 1.3.8 has been released...is there a way to port the module into 1.3.7 or is a full upgrade from 1.3.7 required?

Upgrading is the recommended course.

Figured that would be the answer, I know though that I haven't been 100% true to the template system (few little bits and bobs) nothing too major I think. Not sure if the risk outways the gain at this point in time.

I might try to back everything up, try the upgrade and see what happens, should be a laugh if nothing else.

remember to run your upgrade in a test directory,
then once you have ALL the files right move them into place and update the live DB and remember to BACK UP BACKUP BACKUP

Going a little off topic here but...I download a full backup of my site, run winmerge with the 1.3.8 files, make all changes to the 1.3.8 such as custom template folders, language files, css etc, upload with a new database to a test directory, try the site if it works move everything to the live directory?...is that about it?
