Duplicate message stack warnings

I have upgraded from version 1.3.5 to 1.3.7 and a login box module installed. I use split login for login and registration. My problem is there is a duplicate message stack (warnings) only on the Login page when a user entered a wrong login information. Same goes to the breadcrumb, it has duplicate links - Home>Login>Login.

How can I fix this problem?

I'm having the same problem except the duplicate message appears elsewhere too, and I don't have the breadcrumb problem. I upgraded from 1.3.6 to 7.

You can try what I did - replace the template file with 1.3.7's zip file. I don't think it helped in my case. I figured it's not much of a big deal to me...
