    Default About paypal problems

    Hi, I got a couple (ok, more ;) ) of questions:

    1) Does the recent patch applies only to express? (ie: people who don't use paypal express, don't need to apply the patch, right?)

    2) Did I understand correctly that paypal module has a method that even if the customer doesn't come back to the store, if there's the IPN communication the order is created like each 'normal' order?

    3)From which version of Zen Cart there's this functionality?

    4) Where exactly is the code that accomplish this task?

    The recent patch applies to Zen Cart v1.3.7.

    The files affected can be seen in the zip file posted.

    The patch mostly focuses on Express Checkout services, but has some relation to PayPal IPN services as well.
    To activate the table-changes applicable to the IPN method, you should activate the Express Checkout method via your Zen Cart admin. That will update the table structures, fixing a couple errors. Then, if you don't plan to use Express Checkout, you can deactivate it again by clicking Remove in its settings.

    You are correct - The IPN module does not require the customer to click on the "return to site" button (usually called "continue") after completing payment.
