Unable to Acccess Attributes Controller

I cant seem to access my attributes controller. Im getting the error message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/content/s/t/u/studiostyles/html/studiostyles_0905/store/zen-cart-090706/admin/attributes_controller.php on line 3237

To the best of my knowledge, I have not modified or updated this file. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can go about fixing it...

I did a fresh install of the attributes_controller.php file and everything seems to be functioning ok...
