Default New Host - Frontend Down but Admin works

I have recently moved to a new "better" host. They are UK based but every morning GMT I find the website is down or slow parsing on the shop front. However if I access the admin it works fast/ok.

After the morning period the site is super smooth and fast. I've notified the host a lot but the claim it's fine. Can you think what it could be? Is it something with my frontend to mess up parsing. I am on a shared hosting package so was thinking maybe someone else is running a cron job or something each day? But what could cause slow parsing on the front end?

Also as a test if your on and reading this so it's not just me. If you try the address between the GMT times of 7.30 AM and 11.30 AM and see if you get problems?

But at 11.54, no problems! (Mind you we are outside the "test" times)

Yes, after about 12.00 it has speeded up very quick. This is the latest reply from the hosts

"Yes, it may be possible that during off peak period the load on server would be quite high due to system software updates and backups."

I don't want to change just need it to work... At least I know it's not just my location. If anyone else get's to check between the times please let me know.

This is to provide an update to anyone on how I solved my problem and some thoughts.

After badgering the host, the speed increased a bit. But after a lot of playing about and messing I think I found the cause of the error. Basically I had a feed reader that was going to another site and reading an RSS feed to display on my pages. This is why the parsing time on my website was sometimes very high. The server was waiting for the feed to respond and sometimes (early mornings in my case) it wasn't quick (over 90 seconds sometimes). I have taken out all code that links to/relies on anything external. And so far SUPER fast speeds.

My recommendations, if you have anything that pulls from an external source get rid of it. Google analytics in another one but generally they are ok. Number one is site speed so bear this in mind.
