Default Transfer Site to new domain, and changeing domain name

    Hello,

I'm tring to change the name of my website, and transfer to a new domain, I don't want to start from scratch to set it up since i have some customizations on it... any good way to transfer everything over without messing it up.

    Thanks

Bassically, this is just editing the 2 configure.php files - but there can be DB & cache items that require attending to especially with the domain name change

Okay, what I have done, is copies my whole site over, and then I will just edit the 2 configure.php, and what do you mean DB & Cache item that require attending to especially with domain name change?....

Any suggestion on how to copy the whole data without having any curraption, I though I use backup tool of cpanel.. any suggestions.

    THanks

If you are moving this to a new account - with a different domain name do not use the full site backup tool use the home directory and the DB backup tools.

You might have to use phpmyadmin to empty the cache and the sessions tables and edit the configuration table looking for the old domain path and/or the files in the cache folder
