    Default Which PHP/MySQL versions?

I'm about to set up a brand new install on a Linux server and was curious what version of PHP and MySQL is best to start with? I understand the lastest of each (5.x.x) is not technically supported. Is it ok to go with the absolute latest of each? Or is there a particular older version I should stick with?

Zen really dont need the latest & greatest to work perfectly

Uncle_Unix is currently testing on Debian sql5/php5.1 without any issues at all.

I would pick the distro with the longest lifecycle ex: Ubuntu 6.0.6 has 5 year long term support "LTS" Great little setup & easy as heck to keep running

ah, sorry to ask without looking first myself. you must mean this problem that came up with PHP 5.2 of which it looks like there is a fix for already:

Yes, I only meant that if you use anything before 5.2 that I did not recall any issues. And there is a fix for the issue that has surfaced but there may be more or not??
