Shopping cart image & shopping cart to appear all the time

Hi

This has probably been asked many times but I can't find it:

I want the Shopping cart to be displayed all the time and would like to add a cart image as well.

Hi

At the moment the shopping cart appears (on the right) only when something is added to the cart. I would like it to appear all the time and not just when something is added. Also I would like to add a 'basket' image to it.

O.K., I filled in a small subset of my data into the database. I found a product block showing the products I entered at the bottom of the front page. It took me a little to realize that are my data. It's not good for printer toner shop display all products in the front page because not that many buyers remember the part numbers. Most if not all toner websites use the same approach user chooses a manufacturer first, then the printer annd then the product. e.g. some samples are:

www.everypage.con.uk (Zencart showcase)
www.injetgrabber.com
www.123injets.com

Now I need to find out the Zencart APIs to pull out data meeting user's selection and display the data. Can you help me to determine these API's? Everypage.co shows you don't rely on ZenCart to decide where and when to show products. I would like to do the same while using as much resources provided by ZenCart. Also to do the search for products effectively, I need to directly manipulate my data. Can I still able to do that?

There is an Admin switch to display the Shopping Cart sidebox on all pages.

Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Shopping Cart Box Status

Shopping Cart Shows
0= Always
1= Only when full
2= Only when full but not when viewing the Shopping Cart

Set it to 0.
