Changing the wording of headings in categories / products

Does anyone know how to change the "Products Model" heading in Zen Cart to something like "Product Number"?

I'm selling CDs. I'd like to use this field but don't think that "Product Model" is the best nomenclature for music CDs. I'd like the heading to read "Product Number."

Go into ADMIN.

Hover over TOOLS

Click on DEVELOPERS TOOLKIT

Scroll to the LAST input field.

Type in " model "

Select " Catalogue "

Click button

Print our results...


Find appropriate files


Change DEFINES as is needed

(Most of them, I seem to remember are in english.php)

Many thanks. This was a real help.

Would I want to create a CUSTOM overide folder to save these changes to? Would this do any harm? Or is this the recommended thing to do?

It's strongly advised to ALWAYS use the over-rides facility, for two reasons:-

1. If you mess up the original php file, it can be a real mission fixing it.
2. When you upgrade, you don't overwrite your changes to things
