Hi all, Thank you for reading. I would like to get the googlefroogle feeder up and running. Only I dont understand how to use the install sql patches.
I have uploaded googlefroogle.sql a million times and i get a white page that says theres a syntax error on line1 The error code is 1044. I think!

So can someone please tell me what im supposed to do in the sql patch installer?
I noticed that there are special instructions next to to the query editor:
    Enter the query
    to be executed:

    Be sure to
    end with ;

Im not really too sure what this means. Please help.

Please dont PM for help, its poor form.
If you are not getting the help you would like, add more details to the post. If you dont understand what details to add then add screen dump pictures with arrows and notes.

Ok we can help with that. But before making any changes to the database and php files, have you made backups?

No I have not. I dont know anything about DBs. This is my first rodeo.
I have backed up my stores root and all thats in it a few times. All I do for that is Download a fresh copy once I make a few changes and overwrite my old copy here on local Z:.

To backup your Zen Cart database
    • Login to cPanel by going to https://yourdomain:2083 for a secure connection. Or http://yourdomain:2082 to let any one that wants to copy your data as its saved to your local drive.
    • Click mySQL Databases
    • Click on Click here to access phpMyAdmin at the bottom of the page. A new window will open and load phpMyAdmin.
    • If you have more than one database select the one you want to backup from the drop-down box in the left frame, or click on the name of the database if you have just one. A new page listing the tables will load in the right frame.
    • Before we backup the database we shall optimize it. Click Check All and then from the drop-down box select Optimize Table.
    • After the new page loads click on Export in the horizontal menu at the top.
    • Now uncheck Data. Check Save as file. In File Name Template enter __DB___Structure. Select "zip" and then hit the Go button. You will be prompted to save a file. Save it. This file is your mySQL backup in gz format containing the Table Structure only
    • Now check Data and uncheck Structure and change File Name Template to __DB___Data, while retaining all the other settings of step
    • Click Go and save the file. .

Dont know if it matters or not but I use godaddy.
Login to cPanel by going to https://yourdomain:2083 for a secure connection.
    This isnt working for me

    Tried https://mydomain:2083
    https://mydomain:2082

I get " Problem loading page" I think i can do the same thing from logging in through godaddy and getting to phpMyAdmin.

I know that i can get to my DB from godaddy. What im saying is, is it possible to do the same thing that way?

Oh my daddy. Me no no nasing about GoDaddy.
But until you have the php and database files backup, you should not be adding or changing the database with addon modules. That unless you have plenty of time to spare?

    Dennis out for the night.
