How to order without having to create an account

Hey,

I have found that quite a few customers (mostly from Germany, because of data protection reasons. Don't ask me why but they make a big deal out of it) don't like to create an account in order to place an order.

Is there a way so that customers can choose to either

1) log in if they already have an account

2) create an account if they haven't got one but want one

3) buy online without having to set up an account but still having to leave their email address. How would those customers be stored in the database?

there are NO stock options for this ( exception is paypal express )

a search would however have turned up several add ons that simulate not creating an account,

I did look for it but couldn't realy find anything.

What "search words" should I use to find the right threads?
