Default Use one image for product listing and another for product detail

How would I go about doing this?

Would Image Handler be the best thing to use?

Just upload a "medium" image for the product, and that will be used for the product-detail/info page. The small/default/original image will be used for the listings etc.

How do I ensure the exact image for each? I just have to add _MED and it will automatically take it?

So I set it up like this?
For all the product info I have *_MED.(file type) in images/medium

and the small one I want for just in the main /images directory?

But I thought of one more problem:

When the products are uploaded directly into the system on the admin side, how do you get the other images in there? You can only upload image.

As for as I see it only uploads one in and then you have to import the rest via FTP in directly and that would be a problem.

    How would I fix this?

    Yes, that's how it's done.

If you wish to use a strictly web-based tool, you can install an addon like Image Handler, but that complicates the code and procedures a lot more than just uploading additional images.

Well yes but it makes it easier to upload things to upload for others who are not coders like us. Thank you. I always try to make things as fool-proof as possible and I am just concerned with others uploading things to the site.
