1.2.6d to 1.3.7 directly?

Can I upgrade directly from version 1.2.6d to the latest version?

I may have answered my own question. In looking at the tutorial for upgrading it appears that the process is really just installing the new version and customizing the various pages then bringing in the data from the old database.

So I suppose the main thing will be that more stuff will be arranged differently between the two versions.

Yes, you'll basically have to redo your template. If you have any mods, you may have to upgrade them to a more recent version. I brought the site in my sig from 1.2.7 to 1.3.7 by creating a new template, uploading 1.3.7 with the new template to the live site and then running the db upgrade. It's a bit more complicated than that, but that's the short version.
