    Default New Products and GZip compression

    The new products will not display if gzip compression is off. When I turn gzip compression on, the page shows blank. If I hit refresh a few times the page will render with the new products. However, it seems that if there is a query string, the page will never render.

    Woa, what's up?

    When you come to this page, it might show no new products. refresh a few times, and you'll see them. Refresh once or twice again and they disappear - along with the featured product and the footer. Very strange.

    For the time being I have disabled Gzip compression.

    The strange problem shown in the above post only occurs if featured products is on.

    Ok, I think I may have discovered the issue (not with Gzip though). If the new products do not display, it says there is a missing closing div and table. But, if the new products do display, there is a closing table and div. Why would the formatting change from one refresh to another?

    I think the problem is in modules->new_products.php

    Can you reproduce this error with Classic template or just with that silverfish template?

    The server had a few issues. After they resolved the issues, the errors disappeared. I'm still not sure what could have caused that strange behavior, but it is resolved now.
