store not loading completely

I wonder if anyone could give me a clue what this error message means?

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/metalboa/public_html/ZenCart/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_index_default.php on line 39

Our store seems not to be loading the main template somehow. This message may be telling me something, but I don't know how to interpret it.

Bumping this up - I have the exact same error.

I just upgraded my customer from 1.2.7 to 1.3.7
