    Default width of template

    I have a question...

    the normal width of the template is 750px

    I have the shop setup with left coumn and right column

    I have a large mainpage image that is pushing the right column out of the main wrapper.

    How do i tell zencart to expand with large images without pushing the right column out of the mix?
    Thanks,
    KWW

    this is driving me crazy.....why won't the page expand to compensate for the large image in the main page???????

    I'm not sure, but what I do know is your image is 543px wide and combined with each sidebox column at 150px... all those combined values definitely won't work within a mainWrapper width declared at 750px. Maybe at 900px, taking margin values into the mix, things might be alright.

    Asides from that, this is a good read about liquid designs;

    Code:
    #mainWrapper {
    	background-color: #CCCC99;
    	text-align: left;
    	width: 750px;
    	vertical-align: top;
    	border: 1px solid #000000;
    	}
    change text in red to something like "width: 85%;"

    You'll have to play with different resolutions to find a setting that works in all cases, unless you set it to 100%

    I have tried that...but i know there is a way to edit one of the common templates to allow for larger images so the template would expand.

    it is me again

    i fund that part in my includes/templates/template_default/css/stylesheet.css
    1st. is that the right place?
    2nd. that what i got

    /*wrappers - page or section containers*/
    #mainWrapper {
    background-color: #ffffff;
    text-align: left;
    width: 100%;
    vertical-align: top;
    }
    it say 100% already i am trying to have the page be all the way right to left, is that possible ? if so can some one give me clear direction on how to do so ?

    Thank You

    it appears you are using the classic template so you would edit the stylesheet in includes/templates/classic/css

    you really need to create your own template and use the overrides system correctly.....otherwise you'll lose all of your customizations during a upgrade.
