Shopping cart and shipping costs question

I set shipping for "table rates". I am now trying to figure out the best way of showing this to customers. I did set the shipping info page to provide the information, but it seems the current shopping cart should also show a sub-total, a shipping total and total cost. Is there a way to have it do so?

Right now it looks a little clumsy:

1. The shopping cart with the total of ordered items before shipping.

2. A "shipping estimator" where the person has to set a location, even though it is all table based on items ordered and the location doesn't matter. Also, the total weight is shown, when that isn't necessary either.

3. The table rate below it.

Is there a way of just getting the shopping cart itself to show the shipping cost after a sub-total and then show the final total?

I want to do this aswell - I think people may be abandoning their cart once they find out what the shipping cost which is after registration, so I want them to see it upfront in the cart when the product is added, they'll then not register if it is too much.

It turns out that if you leave out the estimator and make sure people go through the checkout pages that the shipping costs appear in the checkout process before going on the PayPal site, so that part seems to work ok now.
