Warning errors when creating a new user account

Um .... how did you install your site ?

Did you download files from zen-cart.com, or did you use some sort of automated installation provided by your host?

You really are better of using a set of files downloaded from the original distribution set on our website. That way you don't get the double-spacing problems as much. Plus then you have a master copy of all your files, including changes. A complete set is handy as a basic backup.

The site was installed using Fantastico with my hosting service.

In addition, I also downloaded 1.3.7 and am keeping a copy locally on my computer here.

The problem that occurred actually didn't happen until I tried to upload a file from my local set here to the server.

i know this is an old post but i had exactly the same problem today ... and with an install from Fantastico...

I actually thought that Zen was buggy as hell when i seen what was happening and notice that line 44 of functions_general.php is actually blank..

before i seen this post all i did was delete that line and all fell into place...

You will probably find that aswell as users not being able to create an account, they also cannot use some of the sideboxes links.

Im wondering what other file is going to cause problems by this.

DrByte makes perfect sense now... stay away from Fantastico and manually upload the site.
