    red flag site doesnt work

Ok, I built a ZenCart site in a folder on my main directory /. called rbackyard. If I type in http://www.rbackyard.net/rbackyard the site works great! When I logged into my hoast and changed the Main directory destonation to /rbackyard and typed in http://www.rbackyard.net the ZenCart site went to crap! It showed the main page all out of porportion with no pictures and if I clicked on anything it gave me a 404error. What did I do wrong? I changed everything back to the way it was and now its pointing to my old site and to see the zen site I have to type in http://www.rbackyard.net/rbackyard

    Thanks,
    Chad

Did you change the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files to tell them where you had moved the site to?

There's an outline explanation in the FAQ. but the detail will depend on your specific situation

OK. I see. You still need to change your configure.php files to reflect the change. If you integrate the rbackyard folder into the URL resolution in your hosting plan, you will need to remove it from websystem references in your configure files.

I am having this same problem, however I have only found one configure.php file in my includes folder. Should I point the catalog lines to the zencart folder the application made? I was told there is another configure.php file in the sitemanager folder, but I haven't found it. So I have only found one file to change so far which I'm sure is problem too. The configuration.php file in the sitemangaer doesn't have information I see that has to be changed.

From the FAQ it looked like I had to login to my database and also change something in the admin? Is this right? I'm so completely confused..

I had an exisiting website, I'm moving it to another host and it's just not coming up. I wish I had looked on here first for certified zencart hosts..didn't know they had them!! Our new one won't help at all, and I've paid for a year upfront.

    Thanks, Theresa

The second file is admin/includes/configure.php. Try editing that first and if afterwards your site's still not working describe as precisely as you can what is happening.

I have to try this again, there is something missing there. I'll post again after changing once more. I also think I made a boo boo when I did "overwrite" on the installed new cart with my files. Let me try again and see what we come up with. Thank you!
Afterthought.. I was thinking I could wipe the new database out and start over again.. there were some things about the existing site I didn't care for, like the template. Maybe I could use the old files as a reference since they were all configured and did work correctly and make the site a bit different...
    Thanks, Theresa
