    Default checkout_shipping template problem

I am not sure if this is a bug or not but it's still an undesirable effect.

    Scenario:

Enable Free Shipping Option in Admin-Module-Shipping based on Total >= $99
Go to store an add an item less than $99 and then start the checkout process. On the shipping page, the line is drawn where Free Shipping Option would be even though it's not a valid shipping option.
The expected result would have been no empty place holder. If the order total is >=$99 everything works.

This is standard installation of Zen Cart with test products loaded and default template. You can test this at wwwDOTclevershoppersDOTcom/zcv137/ Please replace the DOT with an actual . :)

Looks more like out of date code ...

What happens if you switch to Classic?

    What version of Zen Cart?

Clean install or an upgrade? How did you install or upgrade your site?

    Ajeh,

This is a clean install. I am also using classic template. Your login on the wrong site. You were on our main site. The clean installed is located at our main site +/zcv137.

I don't want the search engine to follow the link so please go to www.clevershoppers.com and add /zcv137/ and that should give you a clean install unmodified template and the same problem is still there.

Forgot to mention the install is Zen Cart version 1.3.7 both live and test environment.

Ah! I wish I knew what I did to it and I can just undo it Is still possible that I have a corrupted file when I uploaded? Perhaps my FTP program is no good. I use SmartFTP. I hate when I have a problem that cannot be duplicated by others.

Check your Modules ... Shipping ...

Did you add a Sort Order to *ALL* of the modules or just some?

Are the only modules installed actually useable modules? As in if something is set to disable ... click Remove ...

    Try going to:

    /includes/templates

    rename

    /includes/templates/classic
    /includes/templates/classic_HIDE

Yes it looks weird ... does it do the same thing?

If this is a clean install of v1.3.7 from our Downloads link at the top of the screen and not an auto install like fantastico or something ...

Take a few and reload all of the files for giggles and grins ...

Yes! only the modules that are enabled are actually installed. All shipping option have their own order # 1,2,3,4,5. I renamed the template and it just displayed the default template but with the same problem.

To be sure, I downloaded a new copy and now I am uploading to the server. I will report back.

    Thanks for helping to troubleshoot.

BTW, an unrelated question, where do I change the setting for the number of countries that are displayed when I viewing countries under localization. I see that on a clean install the default is 20 per page but on my production environment it's 10 per page.

    Ajeh,

I copied all the file over the current installation at www.clevershoppers.com /zcv137

That did not fix the problem. I did a brand new install at www.clevershoppers.com /mirror_site and that still did not fix the problem either. Obviously, something is messed up with my installation but I don't know what.

If we only offer free shipping always, then this would be no problem. I may have to change the border color to white so the problem is hidden to the customer.

Look for this using the first input field in Developers Toolkit:
    MAX_DISPLAY_SEARCH_RESULTS

This key handles a number of different result sets.

I thought that controls the maximum number of search result display on the catalog side. Should there be an entry for country?

    This is the result:

    Key: MAX_DISPLAY_SEARCH_RESULTS
    Title: Search Results Per Page
Description: Number of products to list on a search result page
    Value: 10
    Group: ID#3 Maximum Values

Thanks for the point but I am not sure I am there yet :)

I changed it and it worked. That's interesting that setting controls the search for country as well. Thanks!
