Need Urgent Help Changing Page Titles

Hi guys,

Right before i start let me justsay i have spent the last 5 hours reading through posts trying to find answers to my question without much luck at all.

Right what i want to do is change the page titles on my website, currently the title reads as follows "Canvas101, CANVAS PRINTS & CANVAS PRINTING BY CANVAS101"

The same title is visable for each page, what i want to do is have different page titles for each page, so lets say for example my gallery page title should read differently from my homepage one.

I hope Im making sense, i've been pulling my hair out trying to do this. The site has 9 main pages running across the top of the navigation bar which I want to change the titles for, TITLES need to be indivdual.

Please Please someone point me in the right direction

Select the menu catalog -> categories/products.
when you see the list of your categories or products, click on the "propeller" icon at the far right (the black one) you may here access your pages/products metatags and change the tiles. Once changed, your propeller icon will turn orange, indicating something has been defined for this item

Thanks for the reply, Im aware on change these titles but what im trying to do is apply indivdual titles and keywords and descriptions for my main pages not my categories.Do you see what I mean.... I can change the information on these pages but it displays the same titles on all the pages.

I understand better now

This cannot be done directly in admin: you have to insert new defines in each page language files

go to:

includes/languages/english/the_page_you_want_to_alter.php and add:

define('META_TAG_KEYWORDS' , 'keyword1,keyword2,etc...'');
define('META_TAG_DESCRIPTION' ,  'the New Description Here');
define('META_TAG_TITLE' , 'the New Title Goes Here');

it will override your default meta tags
