    application error Setting up configure.php

New to the zen cart set up. I have never set up a site from the ground up and I do not understand what all needs to be changed in the configure.php in order to finish the installation of my zen cart. I am also unsure of what server type I am installing to. All files have been loaded, dist-configure.php renamed, permissions changed now I think all that is left is to point zen cart to my web server but how? After changes have been made will I then be able to install using http://www.mydomain/catalog/zc_install?

    Thanks,
    Dazed and Confused in Michigan

    Step 2.

Set up your database. Write down your database name, user name password and know the path to your database.

    Step 3

go to www.yoursite.com/name-of-your-catalog/zc_install and follow the directions. Zen Cart is smart and will know where the path to your catalog is, don't make changes to that page. finish the install.

If you don't have a ssl don't say you do.

    Store sessions in the database.

When you refer to the database what exactly is that? Do I set it up in the my sql databases? If so, do I copy all of the items into the php admin? The user name and password if I am understanding correctly is that for the control panel.
