I have created a new header_bg.jpg which is shorter in height than the old version, however due to css (I think) the placeholder for the image is still the same size. Can anyone tell me which section of the css I need to change?
Thanks

Look for a section called #logoWrapper. If it's not there, add it (sample below). If it is there, that's the spot to change. Play with the settings as necessary.
Code:#logoWrapper{ background-image: url('../images/space011.jpg'); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-color: #000000; height:110px; width: 100%; }

Do I add this to the stylesheet.css of my custom template folder? If so does it matter where in the page it appears?

nope. Its usually a good idea to keep similar stuff together, but it will work just fine it you tack it on the end.If so does it matter where in the page it appears?
Thanks for that.
