    Default HELP PLEASE---Can't write /includes/configure.php

I am installing zen cart and get to the database screen with no trouble. All of the files are as needed, configure.php is writable, etc. But when I get to the database and try to save it I come up with the
    Error encountered while writing /includes/configure.php

I have tried everything... I have even started completely over twice!! I have given permissions to all of the accounts, changed both configure.php files to 777 and I still get the error.

Someone help....I have been working on this for 3 days and am out of things to try.

Hi, no I am still stuck...day 6! I have tried changing permissions in cpanel and on filezilla. My webhost said to overwrite the error, but I'm afraid that will lead to more problems later. If I should overwrite the error, how do I do that? I found a thread earilier for it and now I can't find it. Thanks

This indicates that *after* the setup process, when Zen Cart reads back the information it wrote out to the file, that it found different information than what it attempted to write.

So ... what *is* in your /includes/configure.php file? Post the contents here ... without the database-password.
