    Default cURL Proxy Adress

    Forgive me if this is ignorant, but I am stumbling my way through this. I contacted my host to inquire about my cURL proxy address and they had no idea about it even though I have cURL enabled. Is it possible that a host does not require a proxy address for cURL communication? Does that affect payment options?

    I am getting a "This transaction is invalid..." from Paypal when checking out, and I have installed all the paypal support updates , so I am hoping that it has something to do with this.

    Your Host honestly didnt have a clue if thay had a curl by proxy address,

    If this is the case then cURL is probably compiled and running locally

    What does that mean for me? I am not a programmer, and like I said, I am stumbling through this and have been putting it all together as I go. So the simpler answer the better, thanks.

    routhost.com is my host.

    I removed the Paypal express payment and standard Paypal payments work and process fine, so I probably will ignore the Express pay until I can figure out what the problem is.

    I too am getting the "This transaction is invalid..." result.
    With the debug turned on the log ended with :

    Response:
    Array
    (
    [] =>
    [CURL_ERRORS] => (1) libcurl was built with SSL disabled, https: not
    supported!
    )

    (1) libcurl was built with SSL disabled, https: not supported!
    Array

    It appears to be a SSL/https: deficiency on the hosts part. I'm waiting to hear back from by host right now.

    READ THIS!

    I just spend hours going through the same troubles as everone else.

    Godaddy references this: http://help.godaddy.com/article/289
    It looks like you are supposed to put this code in one of your php files, IGNORE THIS.

    GoDaddy also states that port 443 should be used if you have SSL site, IGNORE THIS.

    The process is extremely simple. login to your store admin area.
    Scroll over "Configuration" on the far left.
    Click "My Store"
    Scroll down to the bottom and change the existing settings for curl to this...

    cURL Proxy Status True
    cURL Proxy Address proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128

    My store is hosted on a secure server. DISREGARD the port 443 reference. I called GoDaddy and they said that even if you have a secure store, you would still use the non-secure port shown above. I entered this.

    Return to store, add a product to cart. Click pay instantly "Paypal Express Checkout"
    Page now loads Paypal with your data.
