remove New Products For "Current Month"

How can I remove New Products For "Current Month" from the "Manufacturer" Product List (a page after you click on one of the manufacturers)?

There are several sets of settings for the New, Featured, Specials and Upcoming Centerboxes ...

Peek in the Index Listing and the Stock ...

0 = OFF and any other value is the Sort Order ...

Be careful as removing it from the Product Listing for manufactuer display can have an affect on listings from the Categories Sidebox as well ...

I tried that, but all I could remove is the title (header) of the new listings.

I removed new listings on all pages except on the one I mentioned earlier.


One more question: How can I remove "New Listings" from the left hand navigation?

If you are still seeing New Products when you turn off the Centerboxes then you have something wrong in your templates ...

Switch to Classic ... does it vanish now?

On the Categories sidebox there are a lot of settings in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

I too am trying to switch off the 'New Products for [MONTH] but can't see any admin menu items called 'Index Listing' or 'Stock' so can't figure out how to disable the display.

Go to Configuration > Index Listing (or any other you need)

Under "Index Listing" you will find "Show New Products on Main Page" - switch it to 0

This doesn't help my problem. I turned "New Products" everywhere off, but they still show up when I browse the products by "manufacturer".

I cannot find the place in the admin tool to change that. Will I have to play with the code? Which file?

In the Configuration ... Index Listing ... there are 3 sets of settings for the Centerboxes ...

If you do not want the New Products to *ever* appear ... then set all of them to 0 for OFF on the New Products ...

I would like to elaborate on this and see if you can remove just the heading for the new products and not the products themselves??

maybe this question would better suit my needs...How do I display all my products under the subcategories of a specific category all at once but not as the New Products list because I can use that elsewhere??
