red flag Please help! Secure folder and public folder?

Hello, please help me on this.

my hosting server have 2 folders, public and secure. I was told to upload the secure pages to the secure folder and normal pages to the public folder.

I read on another thread that in this case I should upload the Zen Cart package to both folders, which I did. I selected to use SSL on admin panel and shopping carts during installation. But after installation, when I go to the admin, it doesn't go to the secure SSL page.

What do I need to do to make the secure pages (SSL) work in this case..

    thank you very much.,

    Thanks Linda,

yes I know that I need to have 2 full copies of Zen Cart in both directories. I've already done that.

The problem is that when I try to log into an account as a customer or log into the admin area, it's not goint to the secure page.

How can enable SSL in Customer area as well as the Admin areas with 2 directories?

    thank you for your help.
