    Default Link to index problem

    Our stie is http://thewindcutter.com/

When you go there the index.html page is displayed, which is fine. There's a link from there to our (Zen Cart) catalog (index.php). The problem is that while in the catalog, if you click any of the "home" links it takes you to the welcome page of the site (index.html) instead of the "home" page (index.php) of the catalog.

My catalog is in the root folder /public_html/ with index.html and index.php in the same folder.

It seems like it used to work right. I don't know what I must have done. Can someone please tell me what to change to point the home links back to the catalog's home rather than my website's home?

    Thanks very much,
    Rebekah

Your site is setup to run the html files before the php files ...

If you want it to run the other way, then you should speak to your hosting site about changing this ... which is recommended ...

Do you really need that index.html or is that just there for safety?

What kind of safety would that be? No, I didn't purposely design it that way for safety.

I'm not sure we really need that first index.html page. For now I have renamed that so that the index.php comes up. This will work for now. Thanks, Ajeh.

Another question. If I were to put the catalog in a sub-folder, then restore the index.html in the root, clicking on "Home" while in the catalog would take a person to the index.php in the catalog's install folder, right?

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thank you,
    Rebekah

    P.S. An aside...
I noticed I spelled "site" wrong, but there's no "edit post" button available anywhere.

That is correct ... the Home goes to either the root if that is where you are installed or to a subdirectory if you install in a subdirectory ...
