None of the zen masters can even offer some suggestions of things to try. If nobody can help me, I'm just going to have to redo my site with a different shopping cart. I'm completely lost and I'm losing business.

After my server people said there were no changes, I got them to say this:
" Okay..basically, the only change is that we are not using mod_php anymore but executing PHP by cgi process, so that it no longer runs as nobody when serving up the php pages.
And the register_globals is turned off as default. "
Does this help at all?
1. What version of Zen Cart?
2. Is this the AIM module?
3. Is there anything *else* not working as expected?
Running PHP as CGI is often problematic ... mostly because a lot of hosts don't know how to configure it properly. They just turn it on and let their customers sort it out, rather than ensuring things are done correctly.
Your problems might even be related to a CURL misconfiguration due to their recompilation or reconfiguration of PHP. But need to get answers to the above questions first ...

I resolved a similar issue by obtaining a new transaction key and the problem went away.

yes. this is the AIM module.
And everything worked great until a couple days ago.
Should I try to just get a new transaction key?
I tried a new transaction key and that didn't work either.
Honestly, I am not sure if I should be consulting you guys with zencart, my server people or authorize.net
I have no idea why this is happening.
Have your hosting site confirm that cURL is working properly on your site and that you don't need another server reboot for this ...

You could try the authorize.net module from v1.3.7 as a test.
You'll need to grab these files from the v1.3.7 zip and copy them to your server:
/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php
/includes/modules/pages/checkout_payment/jscript_main.php
I *think* those are the only dependencies.
After uploading, you'll need to go to your Admin, and Remove and then re-Install the AIM module.
I recommend enabling debug logging. You can inspect the debug logs in the /cache folder to see if any specific errors are being reported.
