insert a javascript for a slideshow in header

I've (finally) got this same slide show on my home page too. I struggled for about three days trying to do this.
I learned three things in the process.

1 Read the contents of the Docs folder that comes with zen-cart

2 When reading advice on how to do things in zen, don't forget to check the version number

3 When using version 1.3.8a put the jscript in /includes/modules/pages/index/

I'm still a newby, I'm not sure if this will work for everyone. I followed everything else in this thread, except the placement of the script. I can only assume that in 1.3.8a it must be done this way.
None the less, it was the only way I could get it to work.

Just a quick addition to my above post in case anyone as green as me is trying to do this.
I put it in my .../pages/index/ folder because I wanted it to be on that page only.
You can specify any individual page by putting your scripts in the .../pages/anypage_you_want/ folder of your choice.

Don't forget I'm a newby, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Maybe someone more knowledgable will confirm my info.

or you can direct link to the JS in the PHP file, although that's not recommended...
