Pretty cool and easy. Thank you!
Works well with 2 column designs with wide side panel.
Hi Andrew,
Nice tree menu!
I would like to make my own style sheet for the menu... any advice on this?
The icons are nice, but what if I wanted to do something different like here:
http://208.112.70.145
which doesn't use page or folder icons?

Hi chadderuski, nice template. I like the look.
Are you already using the Dynamic Menue? I want to see a site with it.

Hi Dan,
The posted link is to another site under development which uses .asp
I was hoping Andrew would be able to give me some direction on how to customize his dynamic menu to resemble the one above.
Yes, it is a nice template, but not my design. That installation is running about 60k by a design firm and is based on product cart (a paid cart).
Us Zenners try to be more affordable than that :)
Guess I'll just have to get down to the nuts & bolts and figure it out myself.
If I do manage to succeed, I'll post it as it is a nice alternative to what we have now.
Yeah, when I looked closer I realized that it is an asp site! Sorry.
Just looking for an alternative to the regular menu tree. Maybe a thread with a discussion about good category trees would be good? There are several mods out there, but do want to try them all? Don't have the time, I guess I stick to what I have for now. Thanks, for keeping me posted on your progress with this one. Still would like to see it in action.

Hi
I posted because I was playing with tigra and yahootreemenu tonight, (from the downloads section) both these are trad menu entry similar to zencart, but I think neither of them need a page refresh when a new category is opened up.
yahootreemeu will come into its own with large menu's, because it uses ajax (a backdoor way of getting server 'tree' data without refreshing the page), and its said it uses very low sql updates to do it.
I like the layout of tigra more, its a windows folder lookalike. Tigra I think works with javascript? so it has to download all the data possibly required, then just clicks into action. But presumably Tigra will get a bit slower for large menu's. as it processes its stuff within the user's computer.
But both types will require a wider left column to hold all the indents. Yahoomenu tree needs a better tree layout I think, as its still using the zencart defaults for indents and layout.
Then there are the column menu's like the asp site one mentioned, but notice it needs a page refresh to open a category. Not cool really...
Maybe the flyout menu is more like that site.. its horses for courses.. trying them out is the best idea...
btw I did my own variant of zencart's default menu as well, which uses extra admin to split categories into particular subsections, because I liked the idea of non-active heading bars in between category groups.

it means assigning a group to each main category, in admin. The add-on was not updated for 1.3.7, it seems to work ok on my own 137 site.
Apologies to the thread, for temporary hijacking
If its of any interest I'm still trying to lay out tigra to represent a family tree, not of course selling my ancestors, it's just to display family links. Genealogy?
