    Default Message: An error occurred when we tried to contact the payment processor.

    Hello in the past day or so I get this message when someone tries to place an order:

    Redirecting to checkout_shipping - Stack: checkout_shipping
    Message: An error occurred when we tried to contact the payment processor.
    Please try again, select an alternate payment method, or contact the store
    owner for assistance. ()
    Session Data: Array

    It looks as though they are at the end of the process with zen cart and being passed to paypal however I have had 3 people get the same message as well as myself.

    Any one else get anything like this in the past day or so?

    I have not changed anything on my site in the last day or week for that matter durning which I have have sucessfull orders.

    If you are using Zen Cart v1.3.7 ... have you installed the latest PayPal Patch at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56216

    Be sure to:

    1 load all of the files correctly

    2 write down your current settings

    3 uninstall/remove any PayPal modules

    4 install both PayPal modules regardless of which you want to use

    5 uninstall/remove the PayPal module you are not using

    6 reconfigure the PayPal module that you are using

    So I have downloaded the latest may 10th full module. I uploaded it uninstalled the Express Module then reinstalled the express module. I am a little confused then do I still need to do this?

    Configuring PayPal IPN module to use PDT (Payment Data Transfer) for quick order activation:
    1. Log into your PayPal account
    2. Click on Profile
    3. Click on Website Payment Preferences
    4. Make sure Auto Return is turned On. The URL should point to your site's checkout_process page: https://my_store/index.php?main_page=checkout_process
    5. Turn on Payment Data Transfer.
    6. Click Save
    7. On the next screen, Copy and Paste the supplied Identity Token from the PayPal screen into your Zen Cart PayPal IPN module's PDT Identity Token field, and save the settings.

    If you are only using the Express Checkout module, you don't need to set up the PDT components ... they are for the PayPal IPN module specifically so that it doesn't have to wait for receipt of an IPN notice from PayPal in order to release the order in to the admin.
