Additional contact us fields

I am finding your instuctions a little to vague for an beginner like myself. Can you be more specific.

The phone number field should appear on the template if you have compared my readings with yours correctly. However, you must also assure that the physical field does exist under your listing table.

In this quote what exactly do you mean by "template" and "listing table"?

Each fields you will create should function correctly once you have also initiate it under your extra_definitions folder + your contact template file (as shown from my example).

What and where exactly is this example?

Your instructions may be fine for an advanced user but for the majority who are beginners we will just get lost because the instuctions are to vague.

Then, I'd strongly recommend that you follow the wiki, tutorial FAQs, Zen-Cart book on how templates & modules overrides works, since you stated to be a beginner with Zen-Cart. Jumping into published MODs without knowing the basics will simply discourage you more than anything else.

My publicized MODs aren't exacly for advanced users. Althought, I'd rather say that these additions are rather for users who are familiar with the standard functionality of Zen-Cart.

Bin there done that as I have done many template overides with success to my site but yours is more of a challenge. Just thought I would let you that I know I am not the first or will I be the last to have a tangle with this one. just think more specific instructions would be a big benefit.

No more challenging than following my uncommented title (// Additional contact us fields) from the beginning to the end block. A simple comparison should suffice in order to integrate (or when integrating new fields). It's as simple as counting 1-2-3. If you're not going to be the last one, then I guess future users will also miss this part of reading from my example.

No. This MOD has been coded and tested under Zen-Cart v1.3x.

What seems to be the problem here? I would love to be able to add this mod to my many Zen Cart pages on the "Contact Us" page. Is it still available for download or can someone elighten me on how I can add extra fields.

Hey Jaden if you want to add extra fields to the contact us page your best bet is to got to;

This was done by Ryk some time ago and it works with even the latest version which I have. It has simple easy to follow instruction with every detail. I think its the best for new zenners.
