Canada Post Shipping Module v1.3.7d
I've added a small update to this module which allows the user to base the handling fee as a percentage of the shipping amount.
This is useful because some payment methods charge a percentage fee on the total charge including shipping.
The update is only available from the Numinix Technology website.
Hello there,
I don't know if anyone else experienced this but when I try to enter the length, width, and height and save the product it sets everything to 12.00. It also doesn't let me select inches or lbs but it default it all the time to cm and gr.
I would appreciate your help.
Sounds like an issue with listing your products. The Canada Post module will only accept whatever units you've set it up to accept. So, if your website uses lb/inches, you need to change this in the Canada Post configuration to accept lb/inches and always use lb/inches when you input your products.
Hello numinix,
Thanks for your reply. I have the configuration, in includes/extra_configurations/ set to lbs and in. But when I enter a product weight, and the other things, and update the product then it defaults everything to kgs, with the weight I put in, and 12.00 for the measures in cm. So something is messed up bad.
Thank you for your help. God bless.
Have you been doing the edits to the files themselves rather than through: ADMIN -> MODULES -> SHIPPING -> CANADA POST
Hello numinix,
Yes I have done the edit to the file themselves. I think that those settings should be added in the Admin settings though for the usual nonprogrammer user.
I figured my problem though. I didn't upload all the files to the server.
Thanks for helping me out though. God bless you.
They are in the configuration already!
If you plan on using this module I highly recommend installing my update which will allow you more versatility with handling fees since most payment providers charge a fee on the entire amount including the shipping charge.
