My admin is all text based????

I was logged in to the admin area but got timed out. it brought me to the login screen but there was no zencart logo like usual..when i logged in, the admin area was also all text and hyperlnks instead of the usual graphical and text layout. Any suggestions?

does the admin folder exist?

look int he config files, see if the admin folder is in right location.

ie. // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
// these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... (ie: under the public_html or httpdocs folder)

sure everything is there, i can add new products and everything, but i have to do it with the text editor option only. i made sure html editor was selected but it gave me the text one anyway. i just did a full restore ADMIN directory from a recent backup, and it is still doing the same thing. i looged out/in a few times same thing each time. what else may need to be restored? i don't want to do a full restore if possible. i will lose HOURS of work..

well it was working one minute, the next it wasn't. My site pulls up fine, so i am not sure why it would show, but the admin wouldn't.. i am going to do a switch to a new domain soon, and i guess i will use my backup instead of the live site and redo all that work if i can't figure it out...

also the only thing in my .htaccess is a line to point to the 404 error page..

remove the htaccess see if it shows then.use the cpanel for the 404 error page.

no dice. removed .htaccess same problem...
